The title of this book gives me the impression that it may be one of the most difficult electrical protection books. I was wrong.
The topics in this book are well presented. Illustrations are very clear that even Electrical engineering student could understand clearly. Examples and solutions are presented in a step-by-step manner that anybody reading the books could actually do the calculations themselves to understand better the topics presented. I want most the exercises found at the end of each chapter to test the readers proficiency in each topic.
Protection covers from the primitive electromechanical relays to the modern programmable ones. This book covers IEC and IEEE at some extents making it a valuable tool in any project. Anyboay who will be reading this is guarranty a better understanding on electrical network protection systems and may even be able to do protection design after that.
Juan M. Gers and Edward J. Holmes have done a very good job on this book.
Highly recommended to all Electrical Engineering practitioner of any any level.
